Gathering October 25, 2006 in Seattle

October 25, 2006
For the third time in barely over a year, we gathered in a train car at Andy's Diner to celebrate the passing of one of our dear friends. Mike flew to Seattle for the Jerry Kaye memorial in October, 2005; returned two months later for the Lan Roberts memorial, and sadly was the guest of honor for this luncheon.

The gathering was informal; though the comments undeniably reflected the respect and admiration we had for our friend. People spoke of how it wasn't until after the time together in Seattle (in the 1960's) that we realized just what a significant mentor Mike would turn out to be for all of us. Not only was he a very inspirational air talent; but his ability to "spark" a radio station with unparalleled class and top-notch leadership is something we will all remember and treasure for the rest of our lives.
