Sinclair Cares: Washington Wildfire Relief

STAR 101.5 is joining with The Salvation Army's Northwest Division, along with KOMO TV, KOMO NewsRadio, 570 KVI, Univision, and Seattle Refined to collect donations for Sinclair Cares and The Salvation Army: Washington Wildfire Relief.

Devastating wildfires are raging across the West coast, burning and destroying homes and businesses. The Salvation Army volunteers are there, on the ground, providing food, hydration, and emergency supplies for first responders and families forced out of their homes.

If you would like to donate to the effort of The Salvation Army to help those affected by the wildfires, your monetary gift will be greatly appreciated and help continue to provide support needed to relieve, recover, and rebuild the affected areas by the fires. Simply click HERE to donate.

Sinclair Broadcast Group will also match the first $25,000 in nationwide contributions! Thank you for supporting The Salvation Army and their wildfire relief efforts in Washington State.

Walk to End Alzheimer's

The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. STAR 101.5 is honored to sponsor this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. And this year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track and trail.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering, but we are still walking — and calling on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

Curt, Corine, and Leonard in the Morning are proud to be hosting this year's Tacoma walk on Sunday, September 27th as well as this year's Everett walk on Saturday, October 3rd!

While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise funds that will advance the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association by enabling critical care and support services and advancing research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

How to Participate in 3 Easy Steps:

1. Register for your local Walk. You can sign up as a Team Captain, team member or individual.

2. Start fundraising and spread the word. We’ll provide tips and coaching every step of the way, including easy ways to raise funds online.

3. Join us on Walk day by taking part in an interactive online experience, then walk in your community.
