Sinclair Cares: Roll Up Your Sleeves

STAR 101.5 and our parent company Sinclair Broadcast Group have partnered with Bloodworks Northwest for Sinclair Cares: Roll Up Your Sleeves, kicking off on World Blood Donor Day, June 14th.

Bloodworks Northwest and blood centers across the US need your help to donate blood as they see shortages during the summer months. Blood donations are essential to everyone's health and donors are the only source of blood for those in need.

Bartell's School Tools Drive with STAR 101.5!

It's Bartell Drugs 19th Annual School Tools Drive with World Vision and STAR 101.5 from August 1st through August 28th!

The new school year is almost here and Bartell Drugs is the place to get all your back to school supplies with 67 neighborhood locations in the Puget Sound region participating in the School Tools program! Students are in need of supplies now more than ever, with many students going back to school this year in person after the pandemic.

Help make a difference in the lives of local children by donating school supplies and personal care items for World Vision's Teacher Resource Center in Fife, which serves more than 70,000 local students in more than 170 schools in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.

There are three great ways to donate this year:
1. While shopping at your local Bartell Drugs, purchase school and personal care items labelled with the School Tools tag and place them in the red donation bin at the front of the store.
2. Make a financial donation at the register of your local Bartell Drugs and they will purchase the needed items on your behalf.
3. Donate online here!

Wishes in Flight

STAR 101.5 is proud to partner with Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington for the
2021 Wishes in Flight mileage donation drive on Thursday, August 5th!

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and right now they need your help! More than 600 children are waiting for their wishes and many of those wishes involve airline travel.
Your donation of unused airline miles ensures that Make-A-Wish will be able to begin booking flights in anticipation of their first wave of wish kid travel resuming next month. For many wish kids, a wish marks a turning point in their treatment or illness. Will you help?
You can donate miles online now!
·       Donate your Alaska, Delta and United miles here!
·       On Thursday, August 5th, 2021, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. call 206.588.8958 to donate!
·       American and JetBlue miles can be donated directly on the airline websites.
·       If your miles are expiring, donate them to Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington. Once transferred, they will not expire for the organization.
Note: The IRS recognizes frequent flier miles as gifts from the corporation to the individual. Miles donated to charity are not tax deductible.

Over the years, STAR 101.5 and its listeners have helped Make-A-Wish locally to raise over 111 million miles!
